“I extend my heartfelt sympathies to the family of Rev. Kenn Nyagudi. I had the privilege of interacting with him when I served as Foreign Affairs Minister. May his family find comfort in the Lord’s embrace,” Wetang’ula stated.

Political and Professional Life

Nyagudi served as Kisumu Town West MP from 2004 to 2007 before losing his seat in the 2007 general election to Olago Aluoch. He later contested the 2013 Kisumu Central parliamentary seat, though he was unsuccessful.

In 2016, he was appointed by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga as ODM’s Director of E-Fundraising and Resource Mobilization, playing a strategic role in the party’s 2017 election preparations.

Life Beyond Politics

Despite his political engagements, Nyagudi largely kept a low profile in his later years, focusing on real estate and hospitality, where he made significant strides.

His passing leaves a gap in Kisumu’s political history, with many remembering him for his contributions to governance and economic development. May he rest in peace.
