Following reports linking Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi to match-fixing, the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has issued a statement reaffirming its stance against the vice and pledging a thorough investigation.

In the statement, FKF assured stakeholders that it is working closely with FIFA and CAF to establish the facts surrounding the claims. The federation stressed that all investigations would adhere to the FIFA and FKF Anti-Match Manipulation Regulations.

“Match-Fixing Will Not Be Tolerated” – FKF

“FKF has a zero-tolerance policy on match manipulation and remains committed to upholding the integrity of Kenyan football,” the statement read.

The federation further urged individuals with any relevant information to come forward and report through integrity@footballkenya.org.

FKF promised to keep the public updated as the case develops.
