Tragedy has struck West Pokot County, as two local politicians lost their lives in a fatal road accident while on an official 10-day development tour.
Confirming the heartbreaking news, County Commissioner Khaliff Abdullahi revealed that the two leaders hailed from West Pokot, though their identities remain undisclosed as authorities notify their families.
Leaders Mourn Fallen MCAs
Nandi MCA Julius Keter expressed his sorrow, confirming that the deceased were West Pokot MCAs.
“It is with deep sorrow that I extend my heartfelt condolences to the people of West Pokot following the tragic loss of two esteemed legislators in the accident at Tapaach along Moroto-Nasal Road in Uganda.”
Keter eulogized them as dedicated and principled leaders, whose contributions will leave a lasting impact.
“Their unwavering commitment and integrity in serving their people will forever be remembered. We share in this grief and stand with the families during this painful time. May their souls rest in peace.”
