Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is among the beneficiaries of increased allocations in the supplementary budget released by the National Treasury in February 2024. The Office of the 4th President is set to receive an additional Ksh23 million in the revised budget.

The adjustments include a significant increase in key budget items. Insurance allocation was doubled from Ksh23 million to Ksh46 million, while the domestic travel budget was increased by Ksh1 million. Additionally, Ksh4 million was added for office furniture and general equipment, and Ksh1.6 million was allocated for general supplies. The budget for training expenses also received an extra Ksh400,000.

However, some budget items faced cuts. The foreign travel budget was reduced from Ksh96 million to Ksh95 million, while hospitality expenses were slashed from Ksh24.5 million to Ksh22 million. The printing and advertising budget was reduced by Ksh2.5 million, and routine maintenance received Ksh1 million less.

The budgetary changes reflect adjustments to spending priorities, balancing increased funding for critical areas while reducing costs on non-essential expenses.
