Mysterious Death Sparks Outrage

A grieving family in Meru County is demanding justice after their son, Martin Mugambi Mwenda, died under unclear circumstances at Miangeni International School in Makindu, Makueni County.

Martin’s parents were only informed on Monday evening, more than 24 hours after his death, and were vaguely told of an “urgent situation” requiring their attention. When they rushed to the school on Tuesday, they were met with silence from the administration and only received the devastating news from the Board of Governors (BOG) chairperson.

Suspicious Circumstances

The school claims Martin drowned in the swimming pool, but his parents say his body had a visible head swelling and blood trails from his nostrils, raising serious concerns.

Adding to the mystery, shortly after the incident, the school took down all its social media pages and disabled WhatsApp groups where parents and teachers usually communicate.

A Bright Future Cut Short

Martin was not just an ordinary student—he was a high achiever, ranking second in his class with a mean grade of A plain. He was also a class prefect and a standout performer at the Kenya Music Festivals, making it to the National level in Eldoret.

Police Investigations Underway

Detectives in Makueni have launched an investigation into Martin’s death as his devastated family seeks justice. The case has sparked public concern, with many questioning the school’s handling of the tragedy and demanding accountability.
