  • President William Ruto reaffirmed Kenya’s commitment to becoming Africa’s top investment destination.
  • The government is focused on policies that attract quality investors and boost economic growth.
  • A high-level Saudi business delegation will visit Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda to explore investment opportunities.
  • The visit aligns with Saudi Arabia’s strategy to strengthen economic ties with Africa’s 1.3 billion-strong market.

Speaking at State House, Nairobi, President Ruto emphasized his administration’s efforts to create a business-friendly environment. He highlighted Kenya’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda, which aims to create jobs, enhance skills, and diversify the economy.

“Our goal is to attract quality investors to exploit the vast opportunities presented by our transformation agenda,” Ruto stated.

To support this vision, Kenya has developed a strong policy and institutional framework that encourages foreign direct investment (FDI).

A delegation from the Federation of Saudi Chambers, led by President Hassan Al-Huwaizi, will visit Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda. Comprising over 25 top Saudi investors and government agency representatives, the delegation aims to strengthen economic ties with East Africa.

Their visit will begin in Kenya with the Saudi-Kenyan Business Forum, where key investment areas and partnerships will be explored. The delegation will then proceed to Tanzania for the Saudi-Tanzanian Business Forum before concluding in Rwanda with the Saudi-Rwandan Business Forum.

These forums will provide a platform for discussions on trade agreements, investment opportunities, and potential business collaborations in various sectors.
