What Happened
A man from Kiambu and a woman from Mombasa were waiting for a bus in Mlolongo. A private car driver, pretending to help, offered them a lift.
After reaching the Simba Cement area, the people in the car turned out to be robbers. They blindfolded the passengers, tied them up, and stole their money and valuables.
What Was Stolen
- The man lost Sh340,000 from his bank account, Sh20,000 from M-Pesa, a phone, and a power bank worth Sh75,000.
- The woman lost Sh9,000 from M-Pesa and other items.
The robbers abandoned them in Limuru, where good people found them and took them to the police station.
Police Advice
The police are investigating and have asked people to be very careful, especially during Christmas. Always report anything suspicious to the authorities.
