Special Senator Karen Nyamu has caused a stir online after addressing claims that she owes her landlord KES 1.25 million in unpaid rent. Taking to her Instagram, Nyamu dismissed the rumors while highlighting bizarre messages she received from people claiming to offer supernatural solutions to her alleged financial woes.

Rumors and Denial

Local media recently reported that Karen Nyamu’s property might face auction due to unpaid rent. However, during a television interview, the UDA senator clarified that she and her landlord are on good terms and dismissed the allegations as baseless.

Nyamu criticized individuals attempting to manipulate the situation for their own gain, saying, “There are people who think they can finance the media or use dirty tricks to mislead and intimidate. I’m here to show that it doesn’t work for everyone.”

The “Healers” Invasion

The senator also shared a humorous yet concerning side of the saga. She revealed that self-proclaimed healers had flooded her inbox with messages claiming they could make her landlord “forget” the rent. They requested KES 20,000 and photos of her door as part of their so-called ritual.

Ati nauza dawa ya kufanya landlord asahau rent, tuma tu 20k na picha ya mlango wako🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Hawa waganga kutaka kulipua inbox yangu jameni,” Nyamu quoted one of the messages, expressing her disbelief.

Unexpected Donations

Following the widespread reports, Nyamu received monetary donations from well-wishers. She expressed gratitude but assured the public that she did not require financial support. “I’m thankful to Kenyans for the concern, but I’m fine and don’t need donations,” she said.

Karen Nyamu continues to handle the allegations with humor and firmness, maintaining her stand that the claims are baseless.
