- Tipsy Gee, one of Kenya’s most popular and celebrated gengetone and Urbantone musicians, has finally decided to reveal how much money he has made from his music over the last 12 months.
In an interview with Commentator, Tipsy Gee said that since his first song became viral online, his life has never been the same; he has been making insane amounts of money, and it is true that Kenyan music pays well.
He claimed to have earned over Ksh.5 million alone from his music within the previous six months. He explained that this is the money he received from his shows, which he has been doing every weekend.
He has been earning extra money by attending high school tours, where he gets paid Ksh. 150 000 per school. Since he has visited 18 schools, he has made approximately Ksh—2.7 million from the high school tours.
He has also been doing concerts at clubs and other events. He has gotten more than Ksh.5 million in the last 12 months.
