A Woman Commits Suicide After Losing Sh60,000 In Aviator

  • A woman allegedly committed suicide after losing 60,000 shillings in ‘aviator’ gaming in Kambiri, Isukha North Ward, Kakamega County.

Police in Kakamega are looking into a case in which a woman allegedly committed suicide after losing 60,000 shillings in a gambling game.

According to locals of the Kambiri area in Isukha North Ward, where the tragedy occurred, the deceased had become addicted to playing ‘aviator’ gambling on her mobile device.

“This mother was investing, and she lost her money which was about 60,000 shillings, so she went silent, and such things led her to where she is now,” explained a Kambiri resident.

The resident advised area members to seek therapy when they are experiencing various challenges rather than committing suicide.

Another resident claimed that the deceased won some money, which led to his death.

“Now this betting game, we hear that she won some money, and that money caused her to commit suicide,” stated another resident.

Another resident, however, stated that the woman who committed suicide placed money in ‘aviator’ gaming, and when it failed, she used her husband’s money to gamble, which also failed to win.

Gambling addicts in the Kambiri area have been encouraged to make a suitable will for friends and others if the money they invest is lost, to avoid the tragedy of suicide.
