- The match between Shabana FC and Posta Rangers FC has been rescheduled
- This happens after match officials failing to show up
Earlier today FKFPL side Shabana FC fans arrived early at Gusii stadium for a premier lague match against Posta Rangers.Confusion left fans disappointed as the much awaited match was aborted after referees failed to show up at Gusii Stadium in Kisii.
The “Tore Bobe” fans flocked the Gusii Stadium to watch the glamour boys play but it wasn’t going to be as expected.
This happens barely a day after the Sports Disputes Tribunal allowed Shabana fans to watch today’s match after a ban by FKF competitions committee over a disturbance that happened at Ulinzi Complex where Shabana fans are accused of vandalism.
In a communication sent by FKF, the match will be rescheduled to a later date as probe into today’s incident is conducted.
“We were well prepared for today’s game at our homeground after a very long time, but the referees disappointed us,” said Sammy Omollo Pamzo,Shabana FC head coach.
“FKF is actively investigating this matter and is committed to ensuring that the integrity of the match is upheld. We are currently working deligently to secure alternative match officials to officiate the game.
However,we must also consider that if the said officials do not arrive in a timely manner,it may be necessary to reschedule the match to mantain the standards of officiating our leagues,” announced FKF through a press release.
