- Kenya is now the fourth country in Africa to allow Facebook-paid content creators to earn.
- Other nations that pay Facebook users include South Africa, Egypt, and Nigeria.
Arap Uria, a content creator on the Facebook network, has shown how he has benefited from his posts over the last month.
Arap Uria demonstrated with images that he began receiving payments from Facebook for sharing his content, receiving 125.19 USD (equivalent to 16,150 Kenyan shillings) between August 17 and September 13.
Arap Uria defended his decision to publicize how much he has received from Facebook, saying he wanted to motivate some Facebook content creators who are struggling to get paid.
“My Facebook monetization earnings in 28 days. I don’t know if it can motivate someone
That is 16k a month depending on how you post content,” Arap Uria stated.
Meta revealed early last month that Facebook users in Kenya will begin to get compensated for sharing original video reels.
Kenya has become Africa’s fourth-largest source of paid content from Facebook. Other countries where Facebook users are compensated include South Africa, Egypt, and Nigeria.
