  • Kenya Breweries has boosted the 2024 Safari 7s tournament with 22 million shillings

Long-standing Safari Sevens partner, Tusker, has proudly reaffirmed its commitment by coming on board as the official alcohol and beverage partner for the 2024 Safari Sevens. This notable collaboration was officially sealed on September 24, 2024, at the EABL headquarters, where Tusker generously pledged KSh 22 million to ensure the tournament’s success.

During the launch, Kenya Breweries Limited Managing Director, Mark Ocitti, expressed his appreciation for the enduring partnership between Tusker and the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU), which dates back to the inaugural Safari Sevens in 1996. He emphasized the importance of this collaboration in supporting the growth of rugby, from grassroots to professional levels, stating, “This relationship is pivotal in nurturing the game at all stages from the grassroots level to professional levels.”

Kenya Rugby Union Vice Chairman, Moses Ndale, extended his gratitude to Tusker for their continued support, urging the brand to explore further opportunities with the union. He highlighted that this partnership has not only stood the test of time but also plays a significant role in the development of rugby across the country.

This year’s Safari Sevens, scheduled to take place from October 11th to 13th at the Machakos Kenyatta Stadium, marks a historic shift, as it will be held outside Nairobi for the first time.
