Dr. Dre, a rapper and renowned music producer from the United States, has stunned the world by declaring that he is ready to change careers and devote himself to sports.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 59-year-old rapper and music businessman announced his wish to compete for a medal in archery at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Dre stated that he hopes to win gold in his native state of Los Angeles and that he has been training for a long time.
“I’m trying to qualify for the Olympics in 2028,” Dre replied, shocking the ET reporter. “I’m very careful.”
The Beats Electronics founder stated that he “started participating in archery at a high level” but then “took a break” before returning to the game recently.
“My son got me some gear. I’m not sure if it was for my birthday, Father’s Day, or something, so I put it in my backyard,” Dre explained.
“And I heard the Olympic qualification is 77 feet, and I’m training at 90.”
“Wouldn’t it be nice to go, especially here in Los Angeles, and win a gold medal?” he said confidently. “I feel like I could do anything.”
