Joshua Makori, a veteran NTV sports reporter and anchor, has announced his departure from Nation Media Group (NMG).
Makori took to his official Facebook page on Thursday, June 20, to express his gratitude to Nation Media Group for the opportunity to serve at NTV for 13 years.

“Thank you so much, Nation Media Group – NTV, for providing me with a platform in sports for 13 years. I’m telling you a secret: God knows. “Call me a sportsman, and I’ll be more satisfied,” Makori said.
After several of his curious admirers inquired about his next step, the veteran journalist declined to share it. Makori was talented in Swahili and used to present sports news.
The senior sports writer also hosted the show Mikikimikiki, which aired every Friday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on NTV. His departure comes only weeks after NMG’s Lead Sports Editor for Sports, Elias Makori, announced his resignation after 32 years with the organisation. Makori worked his way up from junior reporter to Lead Editor after joining the station in 1992. He will leave on June 14, 2024.
