A 28-year-old lady, known as Mbali, has appeared on social media and expressed her feelings, explaining the challenges she faces in finding love and starting a family.
The young South African woman, who is grateful for God’s grace, opened up about her challenges and society’s expectations about relationships and parenting.
Despite her concerns, Mbali expressed gratitude for the success in her life, citing her job, car, and progress towards further education and property ownership.
Through her X page, she questioned whether it was wrong to desire more, leading to a reflective discussion on societal expectations and personal expectations.
In a follow-up post, she shared some of her personal successes.
She wrote, “It breaks my heart that at the age of 28, I’ve got no child & I can barely find love that’s secure, I don’t even think at my big age I know how it feels to be loved however, I’m so grateful for Gods’ favour & pray that he gives me the strength to accept what isn’t meant for me”

She added, “I got a job, I have a car. I have 2 exams left before admission, good pay and property. Is it wrong to desire something else?”
This is happening at a time when SDA pastor Elizabeth Mokoro recently shared a video warning ladies against giving priority to studies and careers over marriage.
Mokoro in the clip asked ladies to consider looking for marriage first when they reach marriageable age instead of saying they want to grow themselves academically and professionally.
