Alejandro Garnacho, an Argentinean winger, struck a spectacular overhead kick on Sunday to help Manchester United defeat Everton 3-1.
The 19-year-old celebrated his goal in the same manner as Al Nassar forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, who is a Portuguese superstar in his eyes.
Even though he shares a national team with Lionel Messi, Garnacho has made no secret of his admiration for Ronaldo.
The young Manchester United player faced criticism from his fellow countrymen after he called Ronaldo the best player of all time in an Instagram post in April of last year.
The same thing happened when Messi unfollowed him on Instagram.
However, former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand claims that Garnacho told him Messi unfollowed him because he is a Ronaldo admirer.
“Do you want to know what I admire about him? He couldn’t care less. Garnacho told me that Messi unfollowed him because he is open about his affection for Ronaldo. He comes out, ‘I’m a Ronaldo man,’ he says. Who is the greatest of all time? Ronaldo. “(Even) when he’s in the Argentina squad,” Ferdinand added on his YouTube the Show Vibe with Five.
