After a video of the well-known bongo flavour superstar Diamond Platnumz proposing to Peace Hyde, a Ghanaian TV host, went viral online, it created quite a stir.
Diamond can be seen in the video kneeling as he gives Hyde a ring on his finger, and Hyde looks happy and pleasantly surprised.
The unexpected change of events surrounding the Tanzanian singer’s love life was difficult for online users to digest. A few days prior, he had flown his girlfriend, Zuchu, to South Africa as a birthday present, and they had been welcomed at his ex-wife Zari’s house in what appeared to be a giddy reunion.
The socialite from Uganda, Zari, revealed that Diamond—her baby daddy—had hoped to meet her husband Shakib upon their marriage.
“I had a conversation with Diamond once, and when I told him I was married, he expressed his desire to meet my spouse.”
She acknowledged that they are close friends and that he is still involved in their children’s life.

Diamond showed apparent his affection for Zuchu, the singer of the famous song “Sukari,” on Instagram by posting pictures of the lavish birthday celebration he had planned for her.
