this happened After Kenyan hip-hop musician Kaligraph Jones criticised Tanzanian artists for not using hip-hop, inciting competition between them, The OG’s comments afterwards elicited a barrage of responses from musicians across the country.

Rosa Ree responded by composing a rap tune Mama Omollo, Kenyans took sides, enjoying the online spotlight and dubbed the bongo star Rosecoco.

Later, Rosa Ree also made a post on Instagram, identifying herself as Rosecoco, the Goddess based on the previous statements.

Although Kenyans online modified the term “rosecoco” to refer to the female genitalia, it originally referred to a kind of beans.

Tanzanian musicians Fido Vato and Harmonise also responded to Papa Jones’ 24-hour rap challenge. According to Harmonize’s response, he thinks Khaligraph was inspired by Tanzanian artists.
