Celebrated Mugithii artist Samidoh has shared his appreciation for a teacher who went viral for using his vernacular music to teach kids in school.

In a video shared on Samidoh’s Instagram page, the teacher can be seen engaging with a group of primary school students in a life lesson about the countries of East Africa.

The teacher begins by asking the students if they know any songs by Samidoh. When they respond in the affirmative, he tells them that he is going to teach them a new song, using the tune of one of Samidoh’s songs.

The teacher then proceeds to sing a song about the countries of East Africa, with the students joining in on the chorus. The teacher dances and claps along as the students sing, clearly enjoying the lesson as much as they are.

Samidoh was impressed by the teacher’s creativity and ingenuity, and he took to Instagram to share the video with his followers. “Music is the greatest communication in the world,” he wrote. “Even if people don’t understand the language, they still know good music when they hear it. Special appreciation to this teacher.”

Netizens in the comment section also praised the teacher for his innovative teaching methods. “This is such a great way to teach kids,” one commenter wrote. “They’re more likely to remember the information if they’re having fun.”

Another commenter added, “I love how the teacher is so passionate about teaching. He’s making a difference in these kids’ lives.”

Samidoh’s video has since gone viral, and it has inspired other teachers to use music in their classrooms. This is a great example of how music can be used as a powerful tool for education.
