The Cabinet Secretary for Health, Susan Nakhumicha, has expressed her gratitude to the National Treasury for the remittance of funds to the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).
This action will enable the settlement of claims by various healthcare service providers across the country.
Settle Claims by Health facilities
“I wish to thank the National Treasury for remitting funds to the @nhifkenya in time to enable settlement of claims by various service providers nationwide,” stated CS Susan Nakhumicha, emphasizing the importance of this financial support in facilitating uninterrupted healthcare services.
In her statement, CS Nakhumicha highlighted that the facilities’ claims would be settled immediately. However, she underscored the ministry’s commitment to ensuring prudence and accountability in the process. Each claim will be thoroughly verified to guarantee the optimal utilization of available resources.

CS Nakhumicha also took the opportunity to call upon all healthcare facilities to resume their services to the public, assuring them that disbursements would continue as the claims settlement progresses.
