Starehe-based detectives over the weekend, arrested eight suspects, and a substantial amount of narcotic drugs was recovered in Huruma, Nairobi County.
Acting on a tip-off from vigilant members of the public, the raid took place in the early hours of Saturday, resulting in a successful operation against drug trafficking in the area.

During the raid, the detectives confiscated over 10 kilograms of marijuana and 450 rolls of the same substance. Additionally, weighing scales, daggers, and gas cylinders suspected to have been stolen were also recovered from the scene. The authorities believe that the recovered drugs were destined for distribution in various parts of the city, further exacerbating the problem of drug abuse.
Significantly, a vehicle used for the transportation and distribution of the highly addictive drugs was seized, further curtailing the illicit activities of the suspects involved in the drug trade. The vehicle’s impoundment marks a significant blow to the drug distribution network and disrupts their operations.

The seven suspects apprehended during the operation have been identified as Alex Murimi, Woche Sipa, Clinton Odinga, Kevin Kimani, Mohamed Wako, John Chege, and Hassan Yussuf.
