In a statement via her social media accounts. Amina said that she is tired of being disrespected by his husband and it is time Alikiba signs divorce papers and set her free. Amina says that Alikiba has failed to give her a divorce, yet Alikiba is free to do what he wants while he has restricted her, “I am tired of being disrespected publicly huku water wakiwa hawaelewi,lakini mpaka wa Leo take kunipatia divorce huku wewe ukiwa huru kufanya mambo yako na mimi ukinifungia in the name of kulinda brand”, Amina said.
In February 2020. Amina Khalef who is the wife to bongo star Ali Salehe Kiba alias Ali Kiba presented the legal documents to the court demanding a divorce from the singer after months of living separately as a couple. Amina Khalef filed a divorce case at Mombasa-based Khadhis court accusing her husband of infidelity adding that she had faced verbal abuse from her in-laws which she said began six months after marriage.

Amina and Alikiba got married in aril 2018, and she said that her efforts to try to resolve their, marriage issue had been futile as her husband was unresponsible, concluding that the marriage was beyond repair.”The marriage is irreversible and severely broken with no chance of being saved”, she wrote on papers presented in court.
She demanded 200000 monthly upkeep for her and their children as well as medical cover for the two.
