- Akothee says that her haters will now celebrate after their appointment as the Talanta Hela committee was revoked.
- The committee comprised famous people, among them, being Churchill, Dennis Itumbi, Azziad Nasenya Caroll Radull, and others.
Akothee has now expressed her disappointment after the cabinet minister for sports and youth affairs Adabu Namwamba revoked their appointment to the Talanta Hela committee.

The committee which was appointed in early February 2023 was revoked immediately after the launch of the Talanta hela initiative at the statehouse in Nairobi on Friday 9th June.
In a video she shared across her social media, Akothee says that her haters will now celebrate because her appointment has been revoked. “my haters will now celebrate, how do you wake up and revoke my appointment like that, and you know I have haters who look up to my achievement,” she said.

The Cabinet secretary for sports said that the Talanta hela initiative aims at promoting talents across the country and creating jobs in the industry. it has a football tournament that will be played across the 47 counties and the finals will be held on 12th December during the celebration of Jamhuri Day.
