- Andrew Kibe, a content creator dwelling in the United States, tells Mustapha to continue trying and working hard in the direction his mind has chosen.
- Kibe noted that if that’s what it takes to recover his mind, he should do it rather than rely on public support, which will only get him back to where he was before.
Mustapha’s case has been making headlines when the “Monalisa” singer was captured working on a Mjengo site to aid his sick mother. They raised almost over a million shillings for the musician with the support of friends led by fellow artists and friend Jaguar.
Kibe’s viewpoint towards Mustapha.
Kibe believes that it is wrong for Kenyans and well-wishers to fundraise for Mustapha and that he should instead continue doing what his mind has forced him to do.
Kibe claims that generating money is not the answer to Mustapha’s struggles. Based on the prior instance involving Omosh Kizangila, after receiving help, he married a second woman and resumed his previous life of begging. He continued by saying that even Mustapha himself had never requested such help before deciding to take up mjengo.
“Most people wanarudisha akili wakiwa in what they chose themselves to. kuna watu hurudisha akili wakiwa jela, kuna watu hurudisha wakiwa kwa mjengo na wengine kwa mob justice” said Kibe
In conclusion, he advised Mustapha to develop a strategy for what he is good at and seek jobs. He came to this by using an example of himself from the good old days when he used to wear suits. He said that Mustapha needs a one-time repair that will solve all of his issues. Kibe is not pleased with the fundraising, which he thinks Mustapha will still ask again after it is over.
