Mikel Arteta has been informed that he has a budget of over £150m to spend this summer to revamp Arsenal‘s squad, according to the Daily Mirror.
The club is reportedly optimistic about extending William Saliba’s contract despite increasing doubts about the defender’s future at the North London club.
Arsenal to offload
In other news, the Telegraph reports that Arsenal is ready to offload several of its home-grown players this summer to rejuvenate the squad and aim for a Champions League spot. Emile Smith Rowe and Folarin Balogun are among the players whose future at the club is uncertain.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail states that West Ham United will demand £100m for midfielder Declan Rice in the upcoming transfer window to fend off interest from Premier League rivals such as Arsenal.

Additionally, it is reported that Arsenal is keen on having former manager Arsene Wenger attend their final home game of the season against Wolves on May 28, should they still be in contention for the Premier League title.
