The U20 Barthes Trophy has reached its semi-final stage, with four teams remaining in the hunt for the coveted trophy at Nyayo Stadium.

The placement semis will see Ivory Coast take on Madagascar, while Uganda will battle it out against Zambia. In the cup semis, Zimbabwe will face Tunisia, while Kenya will square off against Namibia.

Kenya reach U20 Barthes Trophy semis

Kenya earned their spot in the cup semis with a dominant display against Uganda, winning 44-20. Tunisia also booked their place in the last four with an impressive 50-16 victory over Madagascar.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe and Namibia secured their spots in the semi-finals with commanding wins over Ivory Coast and Zambia, respectively. Zimbabwe put on a clinical display, scoring 55 unanswered points against Ivory Coast. Namibia had a tougher time against Zambia, but managed to come away with a 20-12 victory.

The upcoming matches are expected to be fiercely contested, with all four teams vying for a place in the final. The winners of the placement semis will battle it out for fifth place, while the losers will play for seventh place.

Defending Champions Zimbabwe

In the cup semis, Zimbabwe will be looking to build on their impressive form and secure a spot in the final. Tunisia, however, will be eager to upset the odds and book their place in the showpiece event. The other cup semi-final promises to be just as exciting, with Kenya and Namibia both capable of producing the goods on the day.
