Leicester City is reportedly in the hunt for a replacement for their current manager, Brendan Rodgers.

While the identity of the new manager is yet to be confirmed, recent reports suggest that negotiations are underway with two possible candidates.

After initially holding talks with Jesse Marsch, the former Leeds United boss, Leicester City decided to call off the discussions. Instead, the Foxes have reportedly opened talks with Rafa Benitez, who has previously managed Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Everton. According to well-known transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the two parties are still ongoing.

However, there is another name that has emerged in recent reports. According to The Athletic, Leicester City is currently in advanced discussions to appoint former Aston Villa manager, Dean Smith, on an interim basis until the end of the season. Smith is currently available after leaving Norwich earlier in the campaign.

It remains to be seen who Leicester City will ultimately appoint as their new manager, but fans will be eager to see a resolution to this issue as soon as possible. With the Foxes currently sitting in third place in the Premier League, a strong finish to the season will be crucial in their bid to secure Champions League football for next season.
