On Saturday, April 1, 2023, the quarterfinals of the Enterprise and Mwamba Cups were played in Kenya, and the semifinalists have been determined.
Unfortunately, there were some walkovers, as defending champions Kabras Sugar and both KCB and Impala Saracens advanced to the last four after their opponents failed to show up. Menengai Oilers was the only team to play a quarterfinal match, defeating Nondescripts 53-5.
Enterprise Cup subsidiary
In the subsidiary Mwamba Cup quarterfinals, Kenya Harlequin II, Blak Blad II, Strathmore II, and KCB II all advanced to the last four. The results for the Mwamba Cup quarterfinal matches on Saturday were as follows: Nakuru II 15 – 31 Kenya Harlequin II, Kabras Sugar II 0 – 28 Blak Blad II, Strathmore II 23 – 0 Nondescript II, and KCB II 41 – 6 Menengai Oilers II.
The upcoming semifinal fixtures for both the Mwamba Cup and the Enterprise Cup will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023. The Mwamba Cup semifinals will feature Kenya Harlequin II against Blak Blad II at 3 pm at RFUEA and Strathmore Leos II against KCB II at 3 pm at Madaraka. The Enterprise Cup semifinals will see Kabras Sugar facing off against Menengai Oilers at 3 pm at ASK Kakamega, and KCB taking on Impala Saracens at 3 pm at KCB Sports Club.
