Coaches in Kakamega commence CAF C License training

On Monday, April 17, 2023, a total of 27 coaches who hold FKF D Licenses have embarked on a month-long training program for the CAF C License, which is being offered by the Football Kenya Federation.

The coaches are meeting at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, Kenya, to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of football coaching.

The participants include former Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Ocholla, Kakamega Homeboyz goalkeeper trainer John Waw, and Adams Ewoton, a coach from Turkana who previously played for FC Talanta. Ewoton expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to attend the course, saying that he is from an area that is often overlooked and feels honored to be part of the program.

The experienced duo of George Ondula and Fred Serenge are instructing the course, which is designed to elevate the coaching skills of the participants to the CAF C License level. The training program will cover various aspects of football coaching, including tactical, technical, and physical training. The coaches will also learn about the importance of communication, leadership, and team management in football coaching.

The Football Kenya Federation is committed to improving the standard of football coaching in the country by providing access to quality training programs like the CAF C License. By offering these courses, the Federation hopes to develop a pool of highly qualified coaches who can help shape the future of football in Kenya.
