The lifting of the ban was a result of the club clearing arrears owed to former players, Ghanaian midfielder Jackson Owusu and Malian goalkeeper Adama Traore. Additionally, the club paid a fine of Sh998,000 to FIFA.

This news is a huge boost for Gor Mahia as they aim to regain the league title after missing out on the last two editions. The club currently has an impressive record of 12 wins, 6 draws, and 2 losses, having had a limited squad to choose from.

Gor Mahia’s expected signings

With the transfer ban lifted, Gor Mahia is expected to sign some promising players, including Ugandan striker Patrick Kaddu and Rwandan defender Emery Bayisenge.

The club also hopes to secure the services of other players such as Hafiq Kadimu, Enock Wanyama, and Sylvester Owino.

Overall, Gor Mahia can now focus on strengthening their squad and aim for greater success in the future.
