Arsenal set to hold talks with Folarin Balogun to determine future

Arsenal secured a second successive win to remain firmly in the hunt for Champions League qualification

Arsenal are planning to hold discussions with Folarin Balogun in the upcoming summer to determine his future at the club.

Currently on loan at French side Reims, Balogun has been in sensational form, netting 17 goals in Ligue 1 this season, a tally only surpassed by Jonathan David and Kylian Mbappe.

Notably, Balogun has scored more goals in Europe’s top five leagues than any other player aged 21 or under this season.

Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Balogun’s progress, with the club’s loan manager, Ben Knapper, providing regular updates to manager Mikel Arteta and sporting director Edu.

The Gunners are reportedly anticipating significant interest in the young striker during the summer transfer window and are currently weighing up their options.

While Arsenal may choose to integrate Balogun into the squad, there is a strong temptation to cash in on him while his value is at its peak. Balogun’s contract with Arsenal will have just two years remaining this summer, adding an element of urgency to the discussions.
