Kenya Police FC duo of John Mark Makwata and Duncan Otieno have been signed by Botswana Premier League giants Gaborone United FC.
Makwata has penned down a two year contract with the club. He first had a taste of topflight football in 2011 in Kenya when Nairobi City Stars FC roped him from JMJ Academy.
He later joined Kenya Defence Forces owned side Ulinzi Stars FC in 2013. He spent four seasons with Ulinzi, winning the Kenyan Premier League top scorer gong in his final stay in 2016.
Duncan Otieno, also an ex AFC Leopards SC captain has joined the side on a two year contract after his deal with Police lapsed in July.
Otieno, a defensive midfielder has previously featured for Posta Rangers FC in Kenya before turning pro in 2018 when he joined former Zambian champions Nkana Red Devil’s FC. Before his return to Kenya, he also featured for Lusaka Dynamos FC.
The two players have been capped with the Kenya national men’s senior team.
