Mercy Kyallo has stepped up to defend her sister Betty Kyallo on the ownership of the formerly contentious Posh Palace beauty spa.
Mercy has cleared the controversy that surrounded the split between betty and Susan Kaitanny who is the current owner of the spa.
In their reality show Kyallo Kulture, Mercy revealed that the spa’s idea was her sister’s idea.
“I knew Posh Palace was Betty’s idea, her very first baby, and she shared it with Susan when I was there,” Mercy Kyallo said.
Betty claimed that a betrayal shattered their once-burgeoning relationship with Kaittany and destroyed their once-promising future.
“Susan was more like a sister to me than Mercy and Gloria at that time. After maybe like 3 years of very good friendship, there was a very big betrayal that I never thought would ever happen to me,” Betty said during the show.
Mercy revealed that Kaittany and her sister were often arguing, making the business very unhealthy and toxic for both of them.
At that point, Betty ended the partnership and established her beauty salon and spa “Flair by Betty.” The spa was situated at the well-known FCB Mihrab building just opposite her now former best friend’s spa.
“I have a freakin big brain, when I leave I never look back, and I was like I’m gonna be okay,” said Betty.
Betty’s former best friend and business partner Susan Kaittany was long believed to be the owner of the opulent spa. Betty, a news anchor at the time, was seen as the brand’s influencer as she would promote the business on her social media pages.
The business is based in Nairobi’s uptown neighborhood of Kilimani.
Betty would later launch ‘After Shave by Flair’, an uptown barbershop in Nairobi among other businesses.
