Sofapaka beat the Mbaraki based side Bandari Fc by a much needed lone goal of the match early in the second half just before the home fans had settled down to sing ‘Bandari ni Yetu’.
Stephen Okola’s header in the 48th minute earned Sofapaka the maximum points in a 1-0 win in a sweet revenge.
The hosts kicked off on a high and proved the better side in the opening stages of the match leaving Sofapaka to defend more.
Early in the second half the visitors got lucky and converted a header that stood as the only difference until the end of the match.
Celebrated comedian Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill was inattendance doning the kelme Batoto Ba Mungu yellow jersey.
