Chelsea FC manager Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that he won’t accept his star player N’golo Kanté to depart from Stamford Bridge and join Premier League rivals Manchester United this summer after newly appointed Erik Ten Haag revealed his desire to be interested in the services of the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.

Ten Haag and Manchester United have shown interest that this coming summer transfer window they’ll be chasing for Kanté’s signature as soon as the transfer window starts. Kanté deal with The Blues is set to expire in June 2023 and chances of the London giants to extend the contract are yet to be seen but the former PSG and Borussia Dortmund tactician has revealed that he will work round the clock to ensure Ngolo Kanté remains at Chelsea and extend his contract.

“Kanté is a world class player same to the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Kevin De Bruyne or even MO Salah and he has to be in a “Focused Club” for him to continue winning major titles, so him joining United isn’t in my thinking,” Tuchel told Daily Mail.

“Kanté didn’t have a good season in the just concluded 2021/22 campaign due to injuries, he’s an integral member of my squad and if he had his normal form then I could have given Manchester City a good run for their money in the EPL title race,” added the 51 year old German trainer.

N’golo Kanté joined Chelsea in July 2016 from Leicester City and has won major titles with the London giants, among them being the Premier League and UEFA Champions League title.
