RS Berkane wins CAF Confederation Cup.

RS Berkane FC from Morocco played against Orlando Pirates FC from South Africa in the CAF Confederations Cup finals yesterday.The Oranges were crowned the Champions after emerging with a 5-4 win in post match penalties following a 1-1 draw.

The Goals were scored in the extra time as Yousef EL Fahli broke the deadlock after Berkane were awarded a Penalty.Orlando Pirates Slipper Thembinkosi Lorch levelled matters which made the game to proceed direct into Penalty shootout.

The Pirates had a lot of opportunities at the goal but all of them were wasteful.In the second half Pirates continued to control the match after the restart as Hotto tried all the best but his attempt was blocked by Hamiani from point blank range.

The match ended in a barren draw in the Normal 90 minutes which to proceeding of the game into extra time.The 1995 African Champions managed to score late in second half of extra time.

Man of the Match, Lorch, was the only Pirates player who failed to convert from the Spot.Moroccan side converted all the five penalties.
