Alvin Chivondo, strikes yet again?

The famous Alvin Chivondo has been arrested again and sentenced to a one year jail term or pay a KSh 100,00 fine after pleading guilty of shoplifting again from Naivas Supermarket along Moi Avenue.

On Thursday night, May 19, Chivondo was arrested over shoplifting offence at Naivas Supermarket, Ronald Ngala Street. This time around he decided to shuffle the shopping list and is accused of stealing maize flour from the supermarket.

David Baariu, the Central Sub County Police Commander said that 21 year old is detained at Central Police Station and could be arraigned over stealing charges after further investigation.

Despite the support from political leaders such as Azimio la Umoja presidential candidate; and being bailed out by Ex Governor Mike “Sonko” ;and the emotional thrill the cause stirred in Kenyans, one has to wonder was the help offered the wrong and ineffective approach to avoid such an issue, or was he trying to trend again.
