Tanzanian artist Diomond platinumz is counting losses after his official YouTube account was terminated . This comes shortly after he released new song ‘Wonder’.It is a huge blow as the account had over 6.5 Million subscribers which places him as a top artist with the most subscribers in the Sub Saharan Africa.
Diamond’s YouTube channel has been terminated for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.
A quick search on YouTube for his account leads to a pop up notification stating “This account has been terminated for violating YouTube’s Community guidelines.”
The terms of service of YouTube are very clear about violating YouTube’s Community guidelines ; ” YouTube operates in a system of “strikes” in respect of Content that violates the YouTube Community Guidelines. Each strike comes with varying restrictions and may result in the permanent removal of your channel from YouTube. A full description of how a strike affects your channel is available on the Community Guidelines Strikes Basics page. If you believe that a strike has been issued in error, you may appeal here.
If your channel has been restricted due to a strike, you must not use another channel to circumvent these restrictions. Violation of this prohibition is a material breach of this Agreement and Google reserves the right to terminate your Google account or your access to all or part of the Service.”
The Wasafi Boss has not yet addressed why his channel was terminated leaving his fans in speculations . However ,the reason behind account’s termination is suspected to attempted hacking .
The same incident also happened to Kenyan commedian Flaqo whose account was terminated for violating copyright issues.
